All is well, Today seems like very normal day on the road. More like previous trip than earlier days. I did have a chance to work some on my bike this morning before I left, again. However, today, it rode great. All seems to be adjusted properly. I tell myself the issues were because of the three year lay off not the three year advance in my age. Please, no second opinions allowed.
As I left my hotel I noticed this sculpture of the Pied Piper in the lobby. I just had to take one more picture. The breakfast was very good and I enjoyed more than I needed. I did leave the Tums on top in one of my bags just in case. I am glad I did.As I left the hotel in was in the upper 50's and they were setting up for a Saturday market on the market square. Usually these provide me with one on my passions, German street food. I could just eat all day on their street food. But, of course, I would have a serious heart condition if I did that.
As I left the river grew larger, the river valley widened, and hills around were higher. I have never been in this part of Germany in my many trip to this country.
Just around the corner from the windmill this guy passed me. He had a two course wagon all decorated in white with flowers. I would agues he was headed to a wedding to carry the bride and groom away.
I do not think you can see it but on the right side he had a pony tied to that side house. I believe he was training the pony to one day work as a member of a team.
A smooth but not paved bike path. It it is finely crushed rock. It packs solid and it very easy to ride on, wet or dry. Many of my past bicycle travels have been on this type of surface. It works exceptionally well.
A wooden statue in the village of Eisbergen.
E refreshment stand along side of the bike path. This one was one of the most decorated ones I have seen. They were cooking bratwurst that smelled devine. They also served beer, but as I had a while to go I only had a Fanta. It was cold and refreshing and I wa able to continue my ride. The people serving and cooking were dressed in Lederhosen and Drindl. a very nice touch.
My beer for the evening. It was very good.
My meal of pork tenderloin slices cooked with mushrooms in a cream sauce, potato croquets, and a salad. It was all very good.
A fountain with a farmer watering his pigs. This is the second one of these I have taken a picture of. I believe the first was in Steinau (Straße).

I tried to read and translate the inscription but it was very worn. I think it was a tribute to the hard work that women did in te past. If so, I think that would be very appropriate. We could also do for today's women.
