Sunday, April 27, 2014 - Schaffhausen, Switzerland

A very rainy day.  I did not ride in the rain very far. 1.5 km from my hotel I caught a train and rode to Schaffhausen. My hotel there was only 1 km from the train station. The forecast is for more rain for the next four days. I will see more of the train system this year than ever before. I just might have come too early in the year. I did get to go to the Rhein Falls today. I took lots of pictures and will post some of them tomorrow. They are claimed to be the largest water falls in Europe. I met some visitors from both Saudi and Italy at the falls they both had better English skills than I had German skills.

Facts about the falls in English. I wish I could have seen the falls in 1965.

 A part of the steps from top of path to bottom. 232 steps in all. I had to rest my old fat body along the path back up.
