Thursday, August 23, 2018 - Büchen (Odenwald), Germany

My stay in Wertheim was excellent. I was in a budget hotel but the service was better than many others. I had very little problems getting * out of town. The day was hot and partly cloudy with slight rain at the end. It has been a long and very good day. I am off the river and into the hills by about 30 km in distance and 250 meters in altitude. I took a detour to visit the hotel of Jens and Karin Jaegle in Buchen  Odenwald. it has been a great experience. Jens did an internship with Ingrid's German Restaurant in Daleville a while ago. Ingrid grew up in the town of Buchen, it is an old (1500 years) town.  She recommended I stop by his hotel, the Prinz Carl in Buchen. It was very good advice. I have enjoyed every moment of it. Right now I do not have enough memory to post my pictures. I will figure out the problem and post some pictures later. I took 75 pictures in Buchen for Ingrid including the house she grew up in.  I will take them to her at her restaurant the next time we go there to eat. All is well, thank you for being with me. Tomorrow promises to be cooler (fingers crossed).
