Monday, July 10, 2017 - Mühlau, Germany

Hello again.  What an interesting day. I have learned that two people can be as lost as one. More on that later. Jim and I left Passau, to start the major part of our bike trip down the Inn River to the Bridge over the River Inn at Innsbruck. We started on the east side of the river that quickly became the Austrian side.

Much to our surprise it quickly became the hilly side (read steep inclines). After about 5 kilometers on the uphill we discussed the matter and backtracked.  No shame in this. It was a fun downhill ride to the correct trail. The German side looked more level but there by this time was no bridge across. We continued on in a light rain.

We met a group of riders from a river boat tour. We later came upon their water refreshment station. They were nice and gave up water and fruit. One lady was very nice and talkative. It turned out she was from Alabama and a fan of the college on the west side of the state. I was diplomatic and game her a "Roll Tide" and she returned with a "War Eagle".  James and I may join the diplomatic core. Diplomacy seems to be lacking right now.

The ride continued and we arrived at our destination with a few more detours and delays.  All in all good tiring ride filled by a good meal.
