Thursday, April 24, 2014 - Zurich, Switzerland

My hotel for the first night. I arrived at 8:30 am at Zurich airport. The was uneventful except for the length. It took 2 and a half hours to get to the hotel. Poor planning by me. After check in, I put the bicycle together. Another 2 and a half hours of poor planning by me. I lost a bunch of the parts for a period of time. What was I thinking about. After assembly I rode about 10 km on a couple of test rides.

A street on the way to the train station. Zurich is very pretty. A lot like Germany. Many people on bicycles and lots of street cars. It has kind of a small-town feel to it. And a river runs through it.

I had to go to the train station to get my tickets for tomorrow. I will ride the train from Zurich to Chur to start the day and ride my bicycle to a small town in Austria that I can not remember right now. That might not be the best way to end the ride tomorrow. i do have it written down. It will not be hard to find it is on the Rhein river.

I walked back to my hotel after getting a beer and a wurst at the train station. It has been a long day and sleep is calling my name. I hope to have a good ride and lots to report tomorrow.
