After 8 hours on the train and some anxiety on some connections, I am back in Stuttgart at my hotel by the airport. Tomorrow, I will disassemble, clean, and pack my bike. Wednesday I will go downtown shopping. Thursday I will fly home. I will be at the beach to check on things and prepare for possible hurricanes on Friday night. Saturday, I will watch Auburn play football. Thank all of you for going with me on this trip. If I get a chance I will post a few travel pictures later. This may be the last blog. Thank all of you again for comments and support.
Pax,

Bob, I just got finished catching up on your blog. It appears you had a wonderful time. How you have me looking forward to retirement! (I guess I need to graduate and get a job?!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your adventure!
Take care,
Nick Derzis
This has been an adventure for us all!! Hope we will get to see you at the beach, there is no oil, just the usual August seaweed. FLY SAFE!

To say you had a great experience would be an understatement. Your photos as usual were great and a reminder of our trip in 2007. Your "feat"(old man with heart condition pedalling 1200+km) is worthy of having his photo on box of Wheaties.
ReplyDeleteBob,
ReplyDeleteThis has been a wonderful trip for all of us! Thank you for bringing us along. I am heading south on Thursday and of course would love to buy you a beer. I won't be watching Auburn football (although I love the school) but we will have a group gathering for the weekend. I'll be the chick in the tye died t-shirt jogging every morning!
Thanks again!
Reese
