I had dinner in a sidewalk cafe with a couple of really good beers, A Furstenburger and a Hirsch. I enjoyed a nice meal of Jagerschnitzel. All in all a good day. Oh yes, on the road in Morhingen, I took this picture of a monument company for my good friends at the beach, Adrian and Judy Holman. Until tomorrow auf Wiedersehen.

Friday - Down river 8-13-10
Hello to all, it has been a better day. Not a lot of uphill and most has been manageable. I did not go a long way today, only about 40 km from Donaueschingen to Tuttlingen. It was an easier ride all along the banks of the river. The best sign is that most of the people are traveling in the same direction as myself. I started at the Donautempel. Picture on the right. It is were the spring water flows into the Brigach River to become the Donau.
As I said the road was a lot easier. I thought these three barns were quite scenic. The early part of the valley was very wide.It later narrowed and the river went underground into porous limestone formations. It later emerged with about 1/3 of the water.
The road was well marked and I did not make a single wrong turn. The small green sign on the bottom right of the post is the Radweg (bike path) sign. There are on every turn, not so on yesterday's path. Of course I may have missed then in the heavy rain. Like yesterday I did see a lot of the same people all day as we leap frog each other stopping to eat, take pictures, and sight see.
I am spending the night in Tuttlingen, Germany. I was told this is the high tech center of southern Germany. It seems like a nice medium size city. The picture on the left is the Rathaus (city hall). On the right is just one on the many walking bridges connecting the two sides of the town.
