Well, I made it to my start location. It was a very warm day. The high hit about 85/86 degrees. I got a lot of experience on the train system today.
Above is my bicycle waiting to be put on the train to Furth im Wald. See the bicycle image on the train car. On the right is an unusual sight for the Munich train station, a lot empty tracks. It just happened that a lot of trains left near the same time. Others quickly replaced them as this is a busy destination and transfer point.
My beer for the evening, a Pilsner. It was of course good. Above you will find my meal of Cordon Blue, potato salad and a green salad.
A little desert to follow the meal.
Furth im Wald is famous for an annual play the towns people put each year. The Drachenstich Festival is a reenactment of the killing of the dragon by St. George. The festival has been performed since 1590. These two pictures are of the stage where it is performed in the middle of town. It is a very big deal in this town.
Tomorrow I will take the bike path out of town and ride until it is too warm for me to continue. I will then take the train for the rest of the day.
