Thursday - Friday, April 14 - 15, 2016 - Hoofddorp, Holland

Well the trip has started. I am in the land of tulips. After a long day of travel I arrived at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport at 8:30 Friday morning. The flights were uneventful but I did learn a lot about the corporate process of genetically producing chickens for different world markets. Did you know that the chickens in Saudi were different in many ways from those in the USA? The differences are all market driven. My seat mate worked for the international genetic corporation that consults with the 100s of chicken producers around the world.
The transfer to my hotel went great and a room was ready for me at 10:30 when I arrived. I assembled my bicycle in a very frustrating manner. Long story with many mistakes on my part. I also went to the town of Hoofddorp for some much needed Euros and some food.
I leave in the morning for Hulst, Holland. I will make the trip by bike and train as it is too many miles for a single day. I will be visiting the Parents of a student who currently attends Troy University. I should have a picture or two by then. Thanks you for starting another bike adventure with me.
Tot Ziens.

A few tulips.

Bike path to downtown Hoofddorp.

An interesting way to prune a tree.
