It was a nice ride today. In a different format from the past, I will post my narrative followed by some pictures. I am having a difficult time editing pictures with narrative side by side. Not my fault, talk to the CEO of Apple. The ride started down hill for the most part. I was in urban area. I learned that no matter how it looks on the map, on Google Earth, or on other web sites, it looks different in real life. I went in the wrong direction on a few times. I am not ashamed to ask for directions when I think I am in the wrong place. Getting to the river took some time, but I got with some help from some friendly Germans. I rode by the Mercedes factory in Underturkheim. Later I got some directions from a Lithuanian who spoke no German or English. Thank goodness he had hands. When I got to Ludwigsburg it was uphill and I had a Gegenwind (headwind). I had leg cramps after the 40 km mark. I had to stop about every 5 km to let them dissipate. The evening meal was lamb roast. Very good. Thank you for being with me. The last three pictures are of the hotel for the evening, the lamb roast, and the shot of Uzo the Greek owner of the hotel restaurant served me after a long conversation about Greece . You do know that if you click on the picture it will appear in full screen. Biz Morgen.
Great updates. It's good to know Lithuanians who speak no German or English understand every word you say in German or English can give good hand directions. What language are the hand direction in?
