Wednesday, August 25, 2010 Linz, Austria to Enns, Austria

Well it was an easy trip this morning, only 30 km. I thought I needed a light travel day. I made up for it but more about that later. The river, the weather, and the bike path were are all easy to handle. There was a lot of tour groups on the bike path. You can reconize them as they all have the same type of bicycle and the same color bags with identical logos. They seem to disappear about about 20 km as I do not know how far they go each day. Picture downloading is very slow tonight s i may have to add the pictures later.

I checked into my hotel in Enns early, surprisingly my room was ready by noon. I then took the bicycle ferry across the river to Maulthausen.  In Maulthausen I visited the infamous rock quarry. It was quite an experience. I have plenty of pictures.

I later rode to downtown Enns and had a beer or two in the town market. I rode about 30 km doing the touring in the area about Enns. I had a salad at a restuarant near the hotel for dinner. All in all it was a relaxing day.
