I decided not to ride today, the weather forcast was for 100% heavy rain and wind. I also thought this would be a good day to do some needed bicycle maintenance and catch up on some communication. The really bad weather has not fully materialized as of 3:00 pm. I did ride about 15 km to check my bicycle after adjustments. It went perfect. It is amazing the difference with and without the fully loaded bags. Duh! I can pedal up most hills without the bags. With them I have to walk up most hills, especially late in the day. This has been a good and relaxed day. I will probably take a day from riding each Sunday. God may have been right about a day of rest each week.
I took many pictues again. Everything has been clean and pretty. Today's beers: Zwiefalter Klosterbrau Export and my favorite Zwiefalter Klosterbrau Krystalwiesen. Both with excellent color, aroma, and taste. The Krystal was just a little better. Tomorrow back on the road again.
Unkle Hummel,
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you took a day of rest. It should help with your "tired legs." Also, you might think about what Marti did when she had ordered more stuff than you, I and James could carry. She stopped at the Gelb (Yellow) shop known as KLH and shipped it home. Maybe you have some stuff you don't really need now, eh? 1892 was a great year best known for the first football game in the deep South between Auburn and Georgia. As you may recall, as I believe you may have been in attendance since I heard from someone that you are "as old as the hills." Of course, Auburn won that game 10 to 7 and the Golden Eagle known as War Eagle flew over that game inspiring the chant known the world over, War Eagle! War Ealge! It would be appropriate to have another Krystal in memory of that game. Auf Wiedersehen! Jack und Lydia
