I am diligently getting ready for my departure in about 8 days. I have been practicing taking the bike apart and putting it back together.
This is it in its suitcase. As of today it takes me about 2 hours to go from the suitcase to fully assembled with fenders, racks and panniers (saddle bags) on front and back.
This is the bike assembled. It is ready to ride and to be loaded. Fully loaded it will weigh about 85 to 95 pounds depending upon the amount of beer I am packing. The yellow is an easy color for traffic to see. Beth thinks that I will look like a giant bumblebee. I bought this particular model because of its ability to be disassembled and packed. It also has a great feature.
A bottle opener. Which should be very useful in Germany, not that I would drink and ride.
